Carrie: the musical

How i grew
I was a member of the ensemble in Carrie: The Musical. This involved acting as a high school student and a member of the choir and learning choreography and musical numbers. I also voiced the interviewer in the segments where Sue is being interrogated.
I auditioned for this musical at the end of my freshman year, and it was my first time doing a musical outside of school. Besides acting at Dallas Theatre Center in middle school, I had never performed with an outside theatre company before. This experience taught me what auditioning and rehearsing with such a company was like. Additionally, I learned the intricacies and importance of being in an ensemble.
Working with NTPA gave me the confidence I needed for future professional auditions. Performing as an ensemble member in Carrie was a good transitional experience as I began to audition more and more and put myself out there in the world of Dallas theatre. Working in an ensemble was an important experience for me as it gave me the foundational training and confidence I needed to perform larger roles in the future without a group of people.
