How i grew
In the Lonely Stranger, I played Rose, the main character of the film. After hitting and accidentally killing a man with her car, Rose hides the body in her home. She tries to move on with her life, but she is tortured by her own guilt, eventually succumbing to delusions and believing that men are trying to break into her house. In the end, she manages to escape her own house, but feels a man's hand on her shoulder and screams.
This was my first role in a short film, and I learned about how to properly convey a character onscreen. I also learned the important differences between stage and film acting, and the necessities of minute details such as how much space I could take up while onscreen.
I became a lot more comfortable with acting on film, and this experience led to my love for screen acting as well as stage acting. It introduced me to a new art form, and I am so grateful that I learned and developed the mindset and skillset needed to perform across mediums.
