All for one

It's Alejandra and Marcel's wedding night, and everyone is overjoyed! That is... until it's time for the reception. Luisa, Alejandra's Colombian mother, and Mariana, Marcel's Venezuelan mother, have both brought arepas. Will this foodie face-off spell the end of their newfound family? And who really makes the best arepas, Colombians or Venezuelans?

 

I wrote this piece because I was asked to write for Booker T's annual Hispanic Heritage festival when the production team was low on writers. I loved challenging myself and researching for this piece, and I'm so glad that they trusted me enough to reach out!
